What’s Involved
Hydrafacial works to revive the skin through a unique six-stage process. Stage one aids lymphatic drainage to help increase circulation and draw oxygen to the cells. This stage can also help to increase hydration and firm the skin.
Stage two applies the Hydrafacial tip to the skin’s surface to cleanse and exfoliate dead skin cells. Here, we also apply a serum to boost nourishment. Stage three involves the use of a salicylic acid solution to help loosen debris in the pores.
Stage four sees the removal of blackheads and other impurities by using gentle suction. An infusion of hyaluronic acid, peptides and powerful antioxidants are applied to the skin in stage 5 to help restore hydration. LED light therapy completes the Hydrafacial experience, dedicating stage six to calming inflammation and increasing collagen production through the delivery of red and infrared light.

Treatment Duration
Hydrafacial can be undertaken in around 30 minutes. Although many people use this treatment to prepare their appearance for an up-coming event, it’s frequently used to support a regular skincare routine. Hydrafacial can be carried out monthly to maintain a glowing appearance and healthy-looking skin, and may combine with other skin treatments for optimal refinement.
Type Of Anaesthesia
There is no need for anaesthetic with Hydrafacial. The treatment is non-invasive and doesn’t use any abrasive methods, or pierce the skin. Many of our patients would say it’s very relaxing and completely pain-free.
Aftercare Requirements
It’s normal for the skin to become a little sensitive after treatment. LPH advises patients to avoid strong sunlight, and to ensure that a high SPF is applied to the skin before going outside. Strenuous exercise and saunas can cause the skin to get hot, and we would also ask that you avoid this for around 48 hours. Most importantly, harsh skin treatments should not be applied to the treatment area for up to 2 weeks.
