During your consultation, we will assess your eyes to develop a customised treatment plan, which may include upper eyelid surgery, lower eyelid surgery, or a combination of both.

Upper eyelid surgery involves a careful incision along the natural crease of the eyelid to remove excess skin and tissue. For lower eyelid surgery, an incision is made along the lash line to address sagging skin.

Treatment Duration

Blepharoplasty, or eyelid surgery, generally lasts between 1 to 2 hours, tailored to your individual requirements. Although the results are enduring, the natural aging process will persist. Consequently, while the effects of the surgery are long-lasting, signs of aeging around the eyes may reemerge over time, typically after several years, and may not accurately reflect your true age.

Type Of Anaesthesia

The procedure can be conducted under local anaesthesia with sedation or general anaesthesia, based on what is most suitable for you as assessed during your consultation. You may need to discontinue specific medications two weeks prior to the surgery. If general anaesthesia is selected, fasting from the night before the procedure will likely be required.

Aftercare Requirements

Upon discharge, we’ll provide you with an eye ointment to apply as directed. You’ll need to keep your eyes dry for about 48 hours. For any discomfort after the procedure, over-the-counter pain relievers can be used. We’ll employ dissolvable stitches and track your recovery through a series of follow-up visits.

Back To Work (Recovery)

Expect swelling and bruising to persist for 1-2 weeks, so it’s recommended to take a break from work during this time. Refrain from driving for several days and avoid intense physical activities and heavy lifting for up to two weeks..
