What’s Involved
The cosmetic procedure known as otoplasty, or ear pinning Leeds, is suitable for both adults and children aged over 5. To minimise visible scarring, an incision is typically made behind the ear, providing access to the cartilage. The cartilage is then adjusted by trimming or reshaping to establish the anti-helical fold, providing support to the ear and drawing it closer to the head.
Each ear undergoes the surgery, and the procedure is tailored to address the unique needs of each ear independently. In certain instances, additional sutures may be employed to position the ears as desired.
