Key Considerations

Treatment Duration

The entire procedure can take up to 3 hours to complete. How long your particular surgery lasts will depend on the size and number of areas that we will address, and how much fat will need to be removed. In some cases, it’s necessary for us to carry out more than 1 session.

Type Of Anaesthesia

Liposuction is a surgical procedure that requires making small incisions in the skin. We generally tend to use a local anaesthetic, however, some cases may require a general anaesthetic. This will be discussed at your initial pre-treatment consultation.

Aftercare Requirements

In some cases, a compression garment is required and your surgeon will recommend how long to wear this for. You can often feel a little stiff and tender after liposuction, and a course of pain relief may help to ease this. Full results may take up to 6 weeks to develop, allowing for any bruising and swelling to subside.

Back To Work (Recovery)

Although you may feel stiff and tender, our surgeons will recommend you move regularly after the procedure. Typically, our patients are able to return to work after 1 or 2 weeks, ensuring they maintain low-levels of activity. A full recovery is expected after 2-4 weeks.
