Eyelid Surgery Bradford
Ageing often becomes most noticeable around the eyes, where sagging skin and wrinkles can create droopy eyelids and under-eye bags. Eyelid surgery Bradford offers an effective solution to rejuvenate the appearance of your eyes and address these concerns.

The procedure
What’s Involved
During your consultation, we will assess your eyes to determine the most suitable treatment plan, which may include upper eyelid surgery, lower eyelid surgery, or both. For upper eyelid surgery, a small incision is made along the natural crease of the eyelid to remove excess skin and tissue. For lower eyelid surgery, the incision is made along the lash line to remove excess skin.
Eyelid surgery Bradford provides long-lasting results, often eliminating the need for future procedures. Tightening the skin around the eyes can significantly rejuvenate the upper face. Additionally, the surgeon may recommend adding volume to the tear trough area through a fat transfer procedure to further enhance the appearance.

Key Considerations
Treatment Duration
Type Of Anaesthesia
The procedure can be done using either local anaesthesia with sedation or general anaesthesia, which will be determined during your consultation based on your best interests. You might need to discontinue certain medications two weeks prior to surgery. Additionally, if general anaesthesia is used, you may be required to fast from the night before the procedure.
Aftercare Requirements
We will prescribe some eye ointment upon being discharged which you need to bathe the eyes with. Other than this, you’ll need to keep your eyes dry for around 48 hours. To help with any post-treatment discomfort, over-the-counter pain relief can be taken. Dissolvable stitches will be used, and we’ll monitor your healing through a series of follow-up appointments.
Back To Work (Recovery)
Swelling and bruising can take 1-2 weeks to diminish, so you might need to take this time off work. Additionally, you won’t be able to drive for a few days, and you should avoid strenuous exercise and heavy lifting for up to two weeks.
